National Blog Posting Month

7 Nov

It’s National Blog Posting Month and that means the November writing challenge is here! Many bloggers now do writing challenges throughout the year but November is special since it’s NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month). I’m a little late on this but better late than never right? To learn more about the NaBloPoMo go here.

Now, I’ll get started with my first prompt! If you had to switch your first name, what name would you choose and why?

From time to time I will use a fake name when I’m out at a bar with friends. It can be fun! If a stranger approaches me and I want nothing to do with them I give a fake name! Sometimes I use Veronica or Victoria. I don’t know why or where I got the idea to use those names. When I need a quick fake name (you’ve been in that situation right?) those are the names that pop into my head first. Don’t they seem like saucy fun names?

I really do like my first name, I don’t meet to many people who share the same name as me. Occasionally, at restaurants that ask for a name I’ll give Kyle (my husband) instead of mine. Sometimes people will write “Monica” or “Monic” sometimes I even see “Moneek” or “Monik.” Just to make life a little easier I use Kyle.

Your turn, have you ever given a fake name? At Starbucks? Hotel? To a stranger?
